Adubação mineral da videira. Infoteca-e

Growth, production and water and nitrogen use efficiency of maize under water depths and nitrogen fertilization AGRIAMBI
Campelo,David H.; Teixeira,Adunias dos S.; Moreira,Luis C. J.; Lacerda,Claudivan F. de.
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to evaluate the growth, the production components and the water (WUE) and nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) in maize (Zea mays L.), as function of water depths and nitrogen doses. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a split-plot scheme with four repetitions. The irrigation treatments applied in the plots were composed of four water depths: 80, 90, 100 and 110% of the water requirement, based on the soil field capacity, while the N doses, distributed in the subplots, were 0, 60, 120 and 180 kg ha-1. Increases in water depths and in N doses promote linear increases in plant height and leaf area index. For cycle I (2015) the maximum yield (16,778.3 kg ha-1) was reached with the irrigation depth of 538.1 mm and...

Inulin production by Vernonia herbacea as influenced by mineral fertilization and time of harvest Rev. Bras. Bot.
CARVALHO,MARIA ANGELA MACHADO DE; PINTO,MARCOS MECCA; FIGUEIREDO-RIBEIRO,RITA DE CÁSSIA LEONE.
The underground organs of Vernonia herbacea (Vell.) Rusby, known as rhizophores, acumulate 80% of their dry mass as fructans of the inulin type. In view of the growing industrial use of fructans as dietetic and general food products, and of their medical application, the present investigation aimed at evaluating the effect of mineral fertilization and period of cultivation on the production of these carbohydrates in field trials. Plants used in the experiments were obtained by vegetative propagation from rhizophores collected from plants growing in natural areas of the cerrado, and cultivated for two years. Fertilization consisted of N:P2O5:K2O (80:200:150 kg.ha-1) plus 80 kg.ha-1 nitrogen as dressing. Soil fertilization did not stimulate biomass or inulin...

Alves,Adriana U; Oliveira,Ademar P de; Alves,Anarlete U; Dornelas,Carina SM; Alves,Edna U; Cardoso,Edson A; Oliveira,Arnaldo Nonato P de; Cruz,Iordan da S.
Lima beans (Phaseolus lunatus L.) are alternative food and income sources for the population of Northeastern Brazil. In this region, lima beans are consumed either as green or dry grains. However, low yields have been observed, a challenge that could be overcome by adequate organic and mineral fertilization. This work intended to assess lima beans yield, cultivar Raio de Sol, as affected by doses of cattle manure in the presence and absence of mineral NPK fertilization. The experiment was carried out at the Federal University of Paraíba, Brazil, from September, 2004 to May, 2005. The experimental design was of randomized blocks, with four replications, 40-plant plots, spaces of 1.00 x 0.50 between and within rows, respectively. Treatments were displayed in...

Souza,Patrícia Teixeira de; Silva,Enilson de Barros; Grazziotti,Paulo Henrique; Fernandes,Luiz Arnaldo.
Balanced fertilization is important for plant growth. There is little information on physic nut (Jatropha curcas L.) and tests with the fertilization of the species are very recent. This study evaluated the initial growth of physic nut seedlings in response to NPK rates to Quartzarenic Neossol in a greenhouse and estimated P and K critical soil levels and N, P and K in shoot dry matter after 120 days of evaluation. The treatments were arranged in a randomized, fractional factorial design (4 x 4 x 4)½, totalizing 32 treatments with three replicates, 96 experimental plots and N rates (0, 75, 150 and 300 mg dm-3) as urea; P rates (0, 45, 90 and 180 mg dm-3) as triple superphosphate and K rates (0, 50, 100 and 200 mg dm-3) as potassium chloride. After 120...

Potassium chloride fertilization of potatoes: nutrient uptake rate and tuber yield of cultivars Ágata and Atlantic Horticultura Brasileira
Luz,José Magno Q; Oliveira,Roberta C; Lana,Regina Maria Q; Silva,João Ricardo R; Rebouças,Tiyoko Nair H.
ABSTRACT Potassium (K) is the nutrient taken up in the greatest quantity by the potato plant. Obtaining information about the relationship between tuber yield and K application rate allows improvements in fertilizer use efficiency. We aimed to evaluate the variation in potassium fertilizer doses in uptake rate of other nutrients and in potato tuber yield. The experiments were carried out in Unaí-MG testing cultivars Ágata and Atlantic and in Mucugê-BA evaluating cultivar Ágata. The experimental design used was randomized blocks. We studied the rates of 0; 70; 110; 220, and 450 kg ha-1 K2O. The increase in K rate reduced the levels of S, Ca, Mg and B in Atlantic-Unaí, Ca, Mg, Zn and B in Ágata-Unaí and S, Fe and B in Ágata-Mucugê. The cultivar Atlantic-Unaí...

SOIL MESO- AND MACROFAUNA IN TWO SOYBEAN CROPS AFTER SWINE WASTEWATER APPLICATION REA
Maciel,Ana P. C.; Sampaio,Silvio C.; Remor,Marcelo B.; Rosa,Danielle M.; Reis,Ralpho R. Dos.
ABSTRACT Hog raising generates a large amount of residues that is commonly discarded into the soil as fertilizer even with environmental risks. In this context, the aim of this study was to assess the application effects of different doses of swine wastewater (SW) associated with mineral fertilization on the abundance and diversity of organisms of soil meso- and macrofauna in two soybean crops. Treatments consisted of four doses (0, 100, 200, and 300 m3 ha−1) of SW with or without mineral fertilization in two soybean crop, totaling 24 experimental units. Soil meso- and macrofauna were sampled using pitfall traps installed at each plot. Samples were sorted and the organisms were separated and identified. The highest abundances were found between groups of...

Tuber yield and economic result of ‘Atlantic’ potato in response to NPK fertilizer formulas Horticultura Brasileira
Yagi,Renato; Soratto,Rogério P; Nazareno,Nilceu RX de; Silva,Henrique L da; Dzierwa,Alexandre de C.
ABSTRACT The usual application of high 4-14-8 NPK fertilizer rates in the potato planting furrows, independently of the soil fertility or nutritional cultivar requirements, has become a paradigm in Brazil. However, the 4-14-8 NPK formula does not always meet the crop needs, and can unbalance the availability of nutrients in the soil. The objective of this study was to evaluate the tuber yield and economic results of ‘Atlantic’ potato as affected by rates of 4-14-8 and 6-30-6 NPK formulas applied in the planting furrows. The rates of both NPK formulas were calculated to reach P2O5 rates of 210, 420, and 630 kg ha-1. At each P2O5 rate, the 6-30-6 formula resulted in less 30% N and 65% K2O in the planting furrow compared to 4-14-8 formula. A randomized...
